February Harvest Lunch — Heirloom zucchini, buffalo mozzarella, rockmelon & basil
In celebration of late summer produce, our chefs are preparing a dish of heirloom zucchini, buffalo mozzarella, rockmelon & basil. Crunchy and fresh, it's just the dish we want to enjoy during February's heat. At the centre of the dish are heirloom zucchinis, sourced from former chefs Jo Corrigan and Matt Donnelly of Mushrooms Anonymous. They farm in the rich soil of the Macedon Ranges, providing vegetables directly to restaurants around the state.
Alongside our February Harvest Lunch, partake in a glass of 2023 MMAD Chenin Blanc. Produced by the team behind Tolpuddle and Shaw + Smith, this wine is made from fruit sourced from old bush vines. Planted in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale in 1964, these vines give this wine depth and power, while the ancient maslin sand soils of the region lend aromatic complexity and elegance.
Only available for lunch, Monday to Friday in February.
Our Producers
Our relationships with local producers and suppliers is what makes Cumulus Inc. what it is, keeping us motivated and enthusiastic about the next great flavour combination or how a single, fresh ingredient can sometimes be enough.
We sourced February’s zucchinis from Mushrooms Anonymous in the Macedon Ranges. Run by two former chefs, Jo and Matt, who sold their Melbourne restaurant in 2016 and turned to a life of farming and producing vegetables for restaurants around the states.
